Armando Chavez has more than 23 years of experience in economic and financial consulting in litigation and non-litigation matters. Mr. Chavez has testified at trial and in deposition and issued expert reports pertaining to his opinions in federal and state civil cases.
Mr. Chavez specializes in the calculation of damages pertaining to intellectual property or other commercial damages disputes. He has advised Fortune 500, multi-national, as well as mid and small-sized companies operating in a number of industries. Mr. Chavez has assisted these companies and law firm personnel in identifying and reviewing relevant financial and economic information, in developing and supporting damages claims, and in reviewing and commenting on damages claims offered by counter-parties.
Mr. Chavez has taught on topics related to damages and valuation of intellectual property. Mr. Chavez has taught as a guest lecturer at educational institutions including the Georgetown University Law Center and the Chicago Kent College of Law, among others. Mr. Chavez has also presented on topics related to damages and valuation of intellectual property at professional organizations including the Houston Intellectual Property Law Association and the Houston Young Lawyers Association, among others.
